MKAZ has made travelling by car popular in Malaysia by introducing budget or low cost rentals. With online car rental booking system on our website, you can skip travel agents and book your own car rental from anywhere using internet access. You can easily check and compare various cars and dates to find the lowest pricing and timing that suits you.

If you have never rented a car online or not too sure about it, then this simple guide is for you. Just follow the steps.

Step 1:

  • Open a web browser and go to www.mkazcarrental.com
  • SEARCH BOOK – On the main home page, there is a form for you to search cars:
    • Select if your pickup and return location.
    • Select the “Pickup” time and “Pickup” dates.
    • Select the “Return” time and “Return” dates.
    • Click the “Next Step” button.

Step 2:

  • CAR SELECTION – The screen will now show you the selected car details and cost. On the bottom side, there is a sidebar displaying your booking summary.
    • The car availability are displayed to customer at all time following by current rental rates.
    • If you preference car is available, it will show as ” Rent This Car” at the bottom of rental rates (price).
    • If you preference car is  not available, it will show as ” Not Available- Contact Us” at the bottom of rental rates (price).
    • Should you wish to proceed with the available car, you may continue to click “Rent This Car“.

Step 3:

You want the safest rental car and it’s our priority to ensure a safe and happy experience for everyone.

CAR RENTAL FEATURES

  • Depending on details of cars you selected earlier, there will be numbers of car rental features offered to you as an additional protection should you need one.
  • You can choose an additional protection such as collision damage waiver , a windscreen protection, smart tag , accident car replacement and others. All of this information are available for you at anytime and anywhere. To read more, click this link FAQ.
  • You will need to select the check-box at the bottom to agree you have read the “Terms & Conditions” of each car rental features.
  • Next, if you have any voucher/promo/discount codes, fill in you special code under “Discounts- coupon code”.
  • Once you have completed all the “Features”, click “Next Step” button.

Step 4:

The screen now showing you a customer particulars. Should you have rented with us previously, you are considered as our “Returning Customer” in which you do not need to provide your particulars to us again. However, should you are our new customer, please proceed to click on “Book as customer” or “Book as Company” under contact type column.

Returning Customer :

  • Please fill in your driver’s license number registered with MKAZ. You driver’s license number is available to you by looking at the 8 digit number at the back of your driving license.
  • Select your “Birthday”.
  • Continue to click “Find my information”.

Should you forgotten your information, you may reach us via “chat room” at the bottom of your screen. Our sales team may need to do a quick verification pertaining to your request.

New customer:

Search for “Book as customer” or “Book as company”.

  • CONTACT DETAILS – You will now have to type in “Contact Details”. This can be any one of the drivers or someone else who is not a driver (Just like an emergency contact). Click “Next” button.
  • Upload your image of identity card (Malaysian IC/Passport) and a valid driving license.
  • Emergency contact – Fill in the details of your emergency contact as per required by the system.

Failure to provide a right information on any details above may results in automatic cancellation of your booking by the system.

  • There is also an option for you to purchase a travel protection insurance for each traveler.
  • Once you have completed all the “rental details”, click “Continue” button.

Step 5:

             RENTER DETAILS AND BOOKING SUMMARY – You will be presented with the cost summary and details before you make a payment.

      

    • Ensure to check every details you provided to us before you proceed to make any payment. Insufficient information may results in failure to process your reservation.
    • You will need to select the check-box at the bottom to agree you have read the “Terms & Conditions”.
    • Continue to click “Confirm Reservation”.
    • You will receive an email notify you on your reservation. If you did not receive this email, please search for “Mkaz Car Rental” using a search form on your email (gmail/yahoo/hotmail or others)
    • If you need a car rental quotation, you can click on “Send quote”. Kindly be informed that, this quotation will not process any reservation.

Step 6:

 

  • SUMMARY AND PAYMENT – You will be presented with the cost summary and options for you to pay:
    • Please click “Pay Now” to proceed.
    • On “billing details” screen, please fill in your first name,last name and your email address in order for the system to sent you a proof of successful payment later.
    • Your order summary will be presented to you and you have the option to “pay 50%” or “full amount” whichever is convenient for you.
    • For 50% amount, you will need to pay for the remaining balance before you pick up the car.
    • Type in all the required payment details.You can pay using supported credit/debit cards (MasterCard/VISA).
    • Review the car rental booking summary. You will need to select the check-box at the bottom to agree you have read the “Terms & Conditions”.
    • and then click “Submit payment”.
    • Once the payment is successful, you will get a confirmation and also get a PDF copy of the car rental reservation emailed to you (the email address typed in Contact Details earlier used as default).

Sign Up For Email Notification

For people who would use car rental frequently or would like to receive discounts rewards or promo code, signing up for a free email notification will be a better option.

Reservation

MKAZ’s booking can be made by website. For booking, you can go to “booking” . Fill up all the information needed.

All hires must be the age of 20 and above with a valid CDL (Competent Driving License) but please be informed that driver age 19 to 20 may only drive selected car models. For drivers aged 21 and above, there are no driving restrictions on the type of cars.

You will also need to present your IC (or Passport) upon picking up the car.
If you are a foreigner, you must meet the conditions below to rent with MKAZ:

  1. 20 years old or above
  2. 1 years of driving experience or more
  3. Have an existing International Driver License (IDL) even if your domestic driver’s license is dated less than a year.

If you have a different type of permit, please submit a photocopy of your driver’s license permit via the booking under “book as customer>driving license”

Unfortunately, we only accept Competent Driving License (CDL) at the moment as your safety is our top priority and our insurance covers CDL drivers at the moment. However, you may check the status of your licence on JPJ’s website.

  • Driving Experience Certificate Issuing Authority (PC only) – Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan Malaysia ▷ http://www.jpj.gov.my

The one who registered with MKAZ using his/her IC and driving license is only allowed to use and drive MKAZ. Any third party is not allowed to use and drive as if you let them drive and use MKAZ’s car you will be charged RM300 for the unregistered driver. Please take note on this matter, as there will be no refund for the penalty charges.

You will receive your confirmation email after placing a reservation. Kindly make payment within timeframe, if not your temporary reservation will be released. Reservations are not confirmed until you have received a confirmation mail with a payment voucher.

CANCELLATION

We require 8 days cancellation notice prior to your scheduled rental date, otherwise we will charge you a cancellation fee as below.

Normal operation season:

  • Full refund of your reservation payment if you cancel or make any changes 8 days prior to your scheduled rental date.
  • 40% of your total amount of your reservation payment will be charged if you cancel or make any changes from 2 to 7 days prior to your scheduled rental date.
  • 100% of your total amount of your reservation payment will be charged if you cancel or make any changes 1 day (24hours) before your scheduled rental date or no show on the arrival date.

For peak season and festive (applicable to all Public Holiday in Malaysia):

  • 100% from your total amount of your reservation payment will be charged if you cancel or make any changes from 1 to 7 days prior to your scheduled rental date.

COVID 19

Currently, there are no travel restrictions on your rental reservation during the Coronavirus outbreak as long you are permitted to do interstate travel. MKAZ will not be responsible for any misuse of interstate travel.

This procedure applicable to any CMCO,RMCO or MCO announced by the government.

The return process remains the same during the outbreak. However due to restriction of working operation, we will only accept return before 8 p.m everyday. Any return after 8 p.m will be subjected to management approval and additional charge of late return may be imposed.

A refund is available for pre-paid bookings subjected to cancellation policy (refer here https://mkazcarrental.com/faq/ : , kindly note that important updates have been made due to the current climate and the need for flexibility in the marketplace.

Customers with pre-paid rentals booked prior to MCO or government travel restriction can cancel their reservation following by cancellation policy and transfer their payment into a credit balance for use towards a future booking to be used within 12 months.

Customers who have made a reservation that is affected by government travel restrictions can also cancel the reservation at any time or rebook to a later date, subjected to cancellation policy.

Yes, amendment or changes on rental date can only be done 2 times subject to booking policy. We may require you to submit further documentation to process an amendment. Sum paid to us will be retain as credit balance account.

Customers can have the option to extend their rental by managing their booking through our 24/7 hotline (whatsapp or call). Rental rates will be calculated on a daily basis until the car has been returned back to us. 

However, if the customer is self-isolating, confirmed case of covid-19,is a closed contact person, quarantining and cannot return the vehicle, the customer should contact MKAZ and all people should avoid contact with the car and the car keys for 24 hours. We will ask the customer to place the keys in a sealed envelope and we will arrange to pick up the vehicle from the customer’s address after this time. Customer are liable to pay all expenses cost incurred by MKAZ before,during and after this process. In situations like these, the customer should speak directly with MKAZ to determine the next course of action.

Please note, the customer is responsible for the vehicle until it has been returned or retrieved. They should ensure it is parked in a safe environment and not violating road rules.

As per rental terms and conditions, failure to notify us about returning a vehicle will result in customers being charged the full amount and expenses incurred until the vehicle is returned.

Customer whose travel in or to confinement area or “PKPD” are advised to return the car before effective restriction date. However if customer unable to return the car, a rental rates will be charge daily at competitive rates (subject to management approval) until car has return to our HQ.

Cancellation of reservation may subject to cancellation policy which you can refer to on our website www.mkazcarrental.com.

EXTENSION OF RENTAL

If you want to extend the rental, please contact us as soon as possible. At the latest, this should be before the end date and time on your rental agreement. Extra days will be charged at “pay at location” prices subject to numbers of days you want to extend the rental. Your full authorization will be updated to include any anticipated additional cost-and you will need to use the same payment card you used for the original full authorization. You may need to go into the rental location to sign a new rental agreement and/or provide an additional payment card for the full authorization.

LATE CHARGE

Late return charges may vary depending on which car you rented. Maximum of 5 hours will only be accepted for late return. Below are the prices of late charge.

fuel charges

No, we do not cover fuel expenses through out your journey. We are practising fuel-to-fuel policy in which renter are always liable to return the car with the same level of fuel given to renter during pickup. You may refer to your rental agreement.

FINES, PENALTY AND SUMMON

You are always liable to pay for the compensation of company losses, including traffic fine and summons imposed by PDRM or JPJ not limited to any offences.

Kindly refer your summons information and payment on your email. Penalty subject to MKAZ’s summons and fines policy.

  • You didn’t inform us about your cancellation (less than 24 hours) prior to your pick-up time.
  • You failed to provide an actual driver to collect the car.
  • You failed to arrive at the specified time and date to pick-up your car.

DELIVERY AND COLECTION SERVICES

You can refer to Booking on our website, under Step 1-Dates, you can see the pickup location. There are a number of locations you can choose. Delivery charge is subject to distance, accessibility of the destination and time of day.

In any condition, you choose to change the location from the original agreement; additional cost may incur depending on your location.

You must give us at least one day’s notice to organize delivery. We may be able to deliver at a shorter notice, but you will need to check with the Reservation Team.

PAYMENT

Starting on 1st January 2020, MKAZ practices a cashless payment. Cashless is a non physical money accepted. You can use your credit or debit (VISA/MASTER) card to make payment on mkaz’s website.

To smoothen the process of renting our card, it is a mandatory requirement to rent with MKAZ.

Under the payment site, you can choose to pay 50% from your total reservation or you may pay in full. If you choose to pay 50% from your total amount of reservation, we will charge your card for the remaining balance before or upon pickup the car.  You must ensure you have a sufficient balance in order for us to charge your card.  We will not hand over the rental vehicle to you if you have an outstanding balance with MKAZ.

You can check with our reservation team by dropping your enquiry on our Live Chat or alternatively you should contact your bank to inform you of this error.

For certain cases, we may require you to have a cash security deposit.

CREDIT ACCOUNT

The amount spent on your rental booking will be reimbursed to you as a Credit Account for you to make future bookings with MKAZ. It will be available in your Member account in the same currency which was used to pay for your car rental booking.

The Credit Account will only be reimbursed to the MKAZ hirer who is the payee of the booking.

Credit Account is non-transferrable once issued, therefore you will not be able to transfer any of your Credit Account amount to Anyone once we has issued it.

Unfortunately no. We will only offered customer refund in credit balance account.

You will receive an email notification once the Credit Account is issued.

A Credit Account gives you the flexibility to make future bookings at any time, even during the peak travel season or MKAZ Promotional Sale as long as the booking schedule is available on our website . with a validity of up to 360 days (one year)* from the date the Credit Account is issued into your MKAZ member Account.

Please email us at mkazcarrental.booking@gmail.com or whatsapp at 0182364401 should you wish to use your credit account. Booking are always subject to availability. If your Credit Account balance is insufficient, simply use other payment options available to pay for the remaining balance.

For full refund and 40% cancellation charges, renter whom a non-Malaysian bank account holder is always liable for any payment transaction fee that may be incurred for refund processing. MKAZ will advise hirer on charges following current exchange rates.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Trip Care 360 Takaful provides benefits to the covered person on the occurrence of specific events that may arise during domestic or international travel, for business or leisure. It includes death or permanent disability due to accident, medical expenses arising due to accident or illness, various travel inconveniences, losses or damages to baggage and/or personal effects, personal liability, and emergency services. The covered person may also choose to participate in an additional benefit, which extends the coverage when the covered person participates in the adventurous activities.

MKAZ are always encouraging our hirer to purchase travel insurance when travelling. Travel insurance may protect you from personal body injury and death if an accident happens.

COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER (CDW)

Collision Damage Waiver is the term used in the car hire industry to indicate whether the rental car is covered for the cost of repairs in the event of damage (usually excess will apply).

All vehicles are fully insured with standard motor vehicle policy. However the hirer is always liable for an amount equivalent to the excess clause not exceeding MYR2,500 (Group A), MYR3,000 (Group B), MYR3,500 (Group C), MYR5,500 (Group D), MYR7,000 (Group E) and MYR8,500 (Group F). This covers the cost of repairs or replacement for any damage to MKAZ’s vehicle.

By purchasing Collision Damage Waiver, hirers can reduce the excess liability to minimal. For example, should Hirer intentionally or unintentionally causes damage to MKAZ vehicle, hirer is liable to pay the excess which can be reduced as per detailed below:-

CDW will only be effective subject to availability of police report and acceptance by the Insurance Company as provided in the policy. However, our customer cannot eliminate the excess completely.

No. All insurance and excess protection does not apply for damage or lost due to careless action, negligence, illegal or improper use of the vehicle. The insurance and excess protection also not cover for missing items or accessories or damages, tyre punctures, burst tyres, fuel errors, battery damage because of forgotten turned off electrical devices and loss or damage to the vehicle accessories.

You can purchase our Collision Damage Waiver on our website. You can go to booking, under step 4, you can see the price of Collision Damage Waiver. The price may vary depending on the type of vehicle classes.

You can also refer to vehicle information to see what type of class for each of the car you would like to rent.

ACCIDENT CAR REPLACEMENT

Should you meet with an accident and be hit by the third party driver, the hirer must inform MKAZ immediately.

In any condition that the car can not be driven,damaged and may result in a suffering breakdown,there will be no replacement car provided to the customer.

Should you wish to have a car replacement, you must agree to bear all cost of replacement including new rental car, delivery charges or any other cost applied to MKAZ for delivering the car to you.

You may purchase an accident car replacement (third party) waiver to cover all types of replacement cost which is needed if you is hit by the third party. Under this Accident Car Replacement Waiver, what will be cover by this waiver is


• The full cost of replacing the car
For replacement car, MKAZ may offer any type of car depending on the booking schedule whichever is still available. The replacement car may not be the same color, brand, model or engine capacity (CC).
Does it mean I do not have to pay for the accident charges also?
For the above clause,the accident penalty will not be imposed only and if the hirer did not find guilty of making such an accident to happen with the third party driver. This clause is only valid and applicable to when the police result report shows that the hirer is not found guilty for such offense.

CHILD SEAT

There is an option for a child seat under the add ons section. Additional charges will be included in your booking invoice. You can refer to booking, under Step 4, there is an option to choose a car seat.

Car seats are subject to availability. We practice first come first serve customers in order for them to book for child seat.

Yes ,you may bring your own child seat with a condition car seat will not cause the seat to be damaged by any condition while installing it to MKAZ’s car rental.

WINDSCREEN PROTECTION WAIVER (WPW)

Should you intentionally or unintentionally cause damage to the windscreen, hirers are always liable for all cost of replacing or repairing windscreen to the original condition.

MKAZ will advise the hirer on the cost of damages once MKAZ are satisfied with the cause of the incident. Failure to inform MKAZ may result in additional penalty charges.

It is agreed that MKAZ will advise customers on the existing damages in MKAZ’s car before handing it over to the customer. In the event, the windscreen happens to a bigger crack MKAZ reserve the right to charge the hirer full cost of replacing the new windscreen.

It is worth finding if your rented vehicles covered you from excess windshield replacement. You can purchase windscreen protection on our website to cover the excess. Read our terms and conditions for more.

FLOOD & STORM

In most states, in the event of any loss or damage to the car due to natural perils, regardless of fault, your financial responsibility extends to the full value of the car at the time of rental, less its salvage value, plus expenses for towing, storage and impound fees, diminution of value of the car as determined by MKAZ, an administrative charge and a reasonable charge for loss of use.

A standard rental car insurance will not cover any losses or damage arising from an act of nature, such
as flood and storm. Therefore, hirer is always liable to pay all cost of damages due to natural perils.

Consequently, CDW is your liability for loss of or damage to the vehicle and third-party damage limited
to the Accident and Damages to the vehicle (as shown on the rental agreement) in which case you may
be fully liable for any loss or damage. Therefore, it does not cover damage caused by floods or storm.

Mother nature disaster is unpredictable. Yes, hirer may purchase a special perils coverage as an
additional protection to their rental car.

Inclusion of Special Perils is its covers your car hire against loss or damage caused by flood and storms.

In the event of any loss or damage to the car due to natural perils, regardless of fault, your financial
responsibility extends to the full value of the car at the time of rental as determined by MKAZ.

The hirer is always liable for an amount equivalent to the excess clause not exceeding MYR4,500
(Group A), MYR6,000 (Group B), MYR7,500 (Group C), MYR8,500 (Group D), MYR9,000 (Group E)
and MYR10,500 (Group F).

you have no other reasonable alternative but to drive through standing water, do your best to
estimate the depth of the water (if other cars are driving through, take note of how deep the
water is).

extent of the damage.
• Ensure that your car’s engine isn’t running, as this could be an additional hazard. Do not
attempt to start the engine.
• Water and electricity don’t play well. Disconnecting the car battery to cuts off all electrical
power to these vital components, reducing the chance electrical short-circuits,
malfunctioning or in the worst cases – electrical fire.

Mkaz has its own appointed insurance assistance, should you been approached by road
assistant or towing agent,please do not proceed in dealing anything.

Failure to do this may subject your agreement to void and you will be liable for any cost of

smart tag

Rates do not include smart tag and touch n go. Generally, all tolls and highways in Malaysia practice cashless payment. No cash is accepted. To smoothen the journey, the employer has the option to rent a smart tag with MKAZ. You can go to ‘Booking’, under step 4-equipment and services, there is option to purchase rental of Smart Tag.

Unfortunately no, Touch n go card will not be provided. You can purchase a touch n go card at any convenience store or petrol station.

There is a penalty amount of RM200 for any missing, lost or stolen Smart Tag. Hirer is responsible for taking good care of our smart tag device for the convenience of our entire customer.

Yes. All our smart tag devices are sensitive infrared devices. Hirers must ensure to keep smart tag in a safe place, not to break the smart tag and return it as the original condition given to you.

GUIDELINE TO ACCIDENT, BREAKDOWN OR OTHER DAMAGE

  1. Stay calm and do not panic. If you hear and feel a strong, rhythmic thumping or flapping sound, and the steering may start to feel vague and heavy. You need to pull over to the side of the road safely as soon as you can.
  2. Turn your hazard light. Your hazard lights or “flashers” will help other drivers see you on the side of the road. To avoid an accident, turn them on as soon as you realize you need to pull over.
  3. Change the flat tyre using replacement tyre inside the car boot.
  4. Do drive slowly and carefully and stop somewhere nearby to local tyre repair centre. Once you reach there, please give us a call.
  5. Be aware that if you drive it using replacement for a long journey, the tyre will almost certainly be damaged beyond repair.

  1. In the event major cracks or broken to MKAZ’s rental car windscreen, please contact us as soon as possible.
